Weather Encamp with Snowrental

A major advantage to Encamp's position high in the Andorran Pyrenees is that the surrounding ski area is virtually guaranteed fantastic snowfall every year. And as the ski areas mostly face North this snow is preserved really well by the low temperatures and lack of exposure to strong sunshine. These factors, combined with the slopes reaching up to 2,560m, allow Encamp and the Grandvalira resorts to have a winter season which is around six or seven months long. The skies over Grandvalira are normally clear but when the snow falls visibility can be poor on the highest areas, thankfully though across the ski areas there are great slopes down through forests which are sheltered and maintain good levels of visibility.
