The snow record in Pal and the other Vallnord ski areas is excellent. Many of the slopes across the area are above 2,000m in altitude which helps to preserve the natural snowfall and means that snow cover is virtually guaranteed, with some enhancement by the resorts' snow cannons. The teams throughout Vallnord have become experts in snow creation and maintenance. Currently they have 296 snow cannons in the Pal/Arinsal area and can produce snow on 50% of the Arcalís slopes with 89 snow cannons, with the help of these cannons a perfect base is created on the slopes pre-season and slope surfaces are excellently maintained until spring. |
