The ski area directly above Bad Hofgastein is lift linked to the biggest area in Gastein, Bad Gastein. From there you can access the vast 200km of slopes, which have great opportunities for skiers and boarders of all ability levels - there are 60km of blue runs, 117km of reds, and 24km of difficult blacks. The area above Bad Hofgastein and the Schlossalm area are best for beginners to start on. Intermediates will find slopes for them in every area, but Stubnerkogel is particularly intermediate-friendly. The highest area of Sportgastein shouldn't be missed by experts, this is where the steepest of slopes are found. To explore the snowpark, boarders and freestylers should take the Angertal lift from Bad Hofgastein. |
