For newbies the immediate area around Ellmau is ideal and there's another beginners area up at the top of the Hartkaiser lift. The ski schools will help you in both of these areas to find your feet and build confidence. The short ride up the Hartkaiser also opens up endless skiing and snowboarding opportunities for all levels, with loads of long, wide slopes for intermediates to cruise down and some steep challenging black expert runs. However the real joy of the Ski Welt area for advanced riders is found off-piste, the mountain guides will show you the best areas and the ski schools can provide instruction on freeriding if needed. |
