Fugen with Snowrental

Situated in the picturesque Ziller Valley, Fügen is one of the larger villages within the Fügen-Kaltenbach area. Comprised of twelve small villages this region has a variety of ski areas for all levels of snow sports enthusiasts and is home to some truly spectacular scenery.
Directly from Fügen you can access the Spieljochbahn ski area. Ideal for families this area has been specifically designed for kids, beginners, and skiers and boarders who like blue and red runs. There's also a kindergarten in this area for children from three months up to seven years old. By taking the free shuttle buses from Fügen you can access the 181km of slopes, up to 2,500m in altitude, at the Hochfügen and Hochzillertal ski areas. And with the Zillertaler Superskipass you can take the shuttle buses and enjoy the 650km of marked slopes across the region - covering a massive area these slopes reach up to 3,250m above sea level and are fantastic for all levels of snow sports enthusiasts. As well as enjoying all these downhill slopes snowboarders and freestylers have a snowpark in Spieljochbahn and Hochfügen, as well as jumps, tables, and a 110m half-pipe in the Hochzillertal area. And of course all freeriders, whether skiers or boarders, will love the off-piste areas in Zillertal with their thrilling descents and fresh powder.
As you'd imagine the winter wonderland around Fügen lends itself well to a wealth of other winter sports too. There are many snowshoe and hiking routes, 70km of cross-country skiing trails, tobogganing, and ice skating. For alternatives to sporting activities you can explore the local museum or ancient churches and chapels of the town, take an excursion to other towns in the area, or just relax in the Zillertal Thermal Spa.
