Every year the Montafon area receives excellent snow, enough to open officially in December and stay open until the end of April - but often you can ski or board in the region on weekends in November. This excellent snow cover is thanks to the low pressure weather systems which come over from the Altantic and dump vast amounts of snow on the mountains which surround Montafon. From Gaschurn you'll have amazing access to all of this wonderful snow and with advanced artificial snow making systems covering the valley runs back to the villages you can be sure you'll be able to ski right the way home at the end of the day. |
