Hinterglemm Ski Resort Information

Close to Salzberg, Hinterglemm is an attractive Austrian village and is one third of the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Ski Circus. This huge ski area is accessed from the village and other points along the incredibly pretty Glemm Valley.
The ski circus is a great destination for all levels of snow sports enthusiast with 200km of varied runs. And it's not only the slopes which are varied, the three villages of Hinterglemm, Saalbach, and Leogang all have unique characters too. Saalbach has a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere, Leogang is the quietest of the three resorts and very popular with young families, and Hinterglemm is between the two other villages in terms of atmosphere, quieter than Saalbach but not as quiet as Leogang, making it a good all-round village. There are good links between the villages so it's easy to explore and experience the entire area.
The slopes of the Ski Circus surround the villages and are divided between north and south facing mountainsides. There are plenty of gentle blue runs for beginners, red slopes covering varied terrain, and steep black expert pistes. Also for the most advanced there are 100km of freeride terrain to be explored. Snowboarders and freestylers are spoiled with the daily-shaped three snowparks and the boardercross course. And of course if you're into alternative snow sports to skiing and boarding then the varied landscape of the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Ski Circus is perfect for you. There are numerous cross-country, snowshoe, and hiking trails you can follow, snowmobiles and quad bikes you can hire, and for classic Alpine fun there's always ice skating and tobogganing. Hinterglemm's also home to a fantastic sports centre where you'll find a swimming pool, sauna, solarium, and tennis courts.
Evening in Hinterglemm can be as active or as quiet as you want, with a mixture of bars and restaurants to choose from. The liveliest après ski starts on the slopes above Saalbach and continues down into the town through the night, there are shuttle buses between Hinterglemm and Saalbach is you fancy a wilder night.
