The climate of Königsleiten and the Zillertal Arena is perfect for snow production. On average the area receives 600cm of natural snow a year, and this allows skiers and snowboarders to enjoy the ski area from December until well into spring. And with Königsleiten sitting at 1,600m you can ski or board straight back to the village. Not only fantastic for natural snow, the climate helps the team at the Zillertal Arena to create huge amounts of artificial snow when the slopes need an extra covering - the snow machines can produce fresh snow on 216 hectares of the ski area. |
