Mayrhofen with Snowrental

Set in the vast Zillertal ski area, Mayrhofen is well established as one of the world's top snow sports resorts. It has the largest skiing area of any resort in the Zillertal group but has managed to retain the traditional ambiance of a Tyrolean village. With 159km of pistes, over two mountains, catering for all levels of skiers and snowboarders Mayrhofen is great for mixed ability groups. Mount Penken, the other ski area, has a wide variety of slopes, and is renowned for the Harakiri - the steepest piste in Austria. For a break from skiing or boarding there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the snow around Mayrhofen. The Zillertal Action Club and Mountain Sports Zillertal organise snow rafting, tubing, ice climbing and tobogganing. Paragliding is also a popular way to enjoy the area. After a day on the snow the Erlebnisbad leisure pool in Mayrhofen is a good place to relax. Here you can unwind in the saunas, solarium and steam room while the kids have fun in the pool with its giant slide and crazy river.
The evenings in Mayrhofen are all about chilling out and relaxing. This can be done in the many bars and restaurants, or at the cinema, on the ice rink, or in the bowling alley - the choice is yours.
