Snow Niederau Wildschoenau

The snow record in the Kitzbüheler Alps is excellent, and Niederau benefits from the eight metre yearly snowfall which the region receives. This immense snowfall is caused by the damp winds which come over from the Atlantic and hit some of the highest mountains in Austria. These conditions are also perfect for artificial snow production, and Niederau is perfectly placed to take advantage of these weather systems. All the slopes on the Markbachjoch plateau are covered by snow cannons and throughout the Kitzbüheler Alpen ski region there are 3,500 snow cannons, so you can be sure you'll find abundant amounts of snow on the slopes for your winter holiday.
