The 110km of slopes at Obergurgl are split between two areas, Pill and Hochgurgl. The areas are well linked with a modern gondola, and the nine minute journey has some spectacular views. And both areas have slopes for all levels. Beginners can use the special areas around the Gaisberg and Mahdstuhl lifts to practice. There's an amazing snow sports paradise for intermediates to discover in the Festkogl ski area and on the Schermerspitze ski trail. And the steep Hohe Mut slope is a must for experts to conquer, along with the mogul piste from Top-Wurmkogl II in Hochgurgl. Not traditionally thought of as a "boarder" resort, all the slopes in Obergurgl are open to snowboarders and the off-piste on the Ötztal Alps is a must for serious boarders. |
