Obergurgl's altitude, and position in the largest glaciated area in the eastern Alps, mean the snow conditions are excellent. A first-class skiing or snowboarding experience is guaranteed between mid-November and the beginning o f May with the resort having outstanding corn snow and loads of sunny days. And just in case, the resort is equipped with an automatic snow-making system so it will cover the slopes with fresh snow if the temperature and humidity suggest there's going to be a problem.
