The winter season in Saalbach begins in December and lasts until April, and during this time the area has an excellent snow record. The 200km of pistes are well maintained and the resort has a massive 452 snow cannons to enhance the natural snowfall. The orientation of the slopes gives skiers and boarders a good range of options for snow conditions. The south facing slopes are a warm and sunny area to enjoy in the colder winter months. And when the temperatures pick up towards spring, the north facing runs stay cool and retain their snow for longer.
