Scheffau with Snowrental

Located in the foothills of the Wilder Kaiser mountains Scheffau is a pretty little Austrian village with a huge ski area on its doorstep. Part of the Ski Welt area, the largest lift-linked ski area in Austria, you can easily access 279km of slopes from Scheffau and a whole host of other snow sports facilities. And with a short bus ride and the Kitzbüheler Alpen Ski Pass you can explore a total of 1,081km of marked slopes and almost unlimited snow sports opportunities.
Closer to home Scheffau's own ski area, Brandstadl, is a north-facing bowl which has the best snow record of any ski area within the Ski Welt region. In this area there are great slopes for beginners, kids will enjoy the KinderKaiserland area, and intermediates and experts will use the lifts there to access the rest of the Ski Welt slopes. Also from Scheffau you can access the Ski Welt's 170km of cross-country ski trails, over 300km of winter hiking routes, 19.5km of night skiing and tobogganing slopes, and the four excellent snowparks filled with jumps, rails, and boxes.
Across the Ski Welt mountains you'll find great restaurants and charming traditional huttes where you can rest and enjoy so local specialities or a warming drink. And when you return to Scheffau in you can choose from a wide selection of restaurants and cafes serving a range of cuisines, and trips to the neighbouring villages of Söll and Ellmau make good evening excursions. Söll is especially good if you're looking for some lively après ski, as nights in Scheffau are generally quiet.
With Salzburg and Innsbruck airports only a short distance from Scheffau, 80km and 84km, this is the perfect resort for snow sports-packed weekend breaks or longer holidays.
