One of the most renowned ski resorts in Europe, Sölden has an almost infinite number of slopes and trails. The 148km of perfectly groomed pistes have something for all levels of snow enthusiast. Beginners should start on the slopes at Innerwald, just above the village, and then progress on to the blue runs at Giggijoch. There are 51km of red pistes across the ski area, including some on the glacier, so intermediates shouldn't have any trouble finding fun slopes and more challenging ones. Experienced skiers and boarders shouldn't miss the Big3 Rally, a challenging 50km route across three mountain peaks above 3,000m. And Sölden is fantastic for snowboarders throughout most of the year, in winter there are two terrain parks and a boardercross course, and in summer there's a park up on the Rettenbach glacier. |
