As the resort of Sölden spans from 1,350m to 3,340m there are a huge variety of temperatures and weather conditions to experience. Most of the slopes in the resort are south facing so receive a lot of sunshine, down at village level this means that relaxing on sunny terraces and sunbathing are a popular activity. As you move up through the ski area the slopes become more exposed, especially on the glacial area which is above the tree-line. Weather conditions won't always be perfect for skiing or boarding on the glaciers, but if there's poor visibility or high winds you can always use the more sheltered slopes lower down the mountains. |
