Weather St Gallenkirch Gortipohl with Snowrental

Between December and the end of April the climate in St. Gallenkirch and Gortipohl, and the surrounding Montafon area, is perfect for snow sports. Internationally known for its excellent snow, the Montafon ski areas are virtually guaranteed snow-cover until spring. This is thanks to the weather systems which come across to the Vorarlberg region of Austria from the Atlantic. When these low pressure systems hit the area they regularly coat the Verwall, Silvretta, and Rätikon mountain ranges which surround the Montafon Valley in snow and this creates the fantastic winter sports wonderland which attracts skiers and boarders from across the world.
