The Ski Welt area receives an annual snowfall in excess of 250cm in the valley and an astounding annual average of 800cm on the mountains. This, combined with their excellent snow making capabilities, ensures that the slopes of the area will be snow sure throughout the season. The cool, North facing slopes in Westendorf also help to preserve the snow, both natural and artificial, from December right through until spring. Additionally, the extensive off-piste skiing opportunities reduce the daily wear and tear of the groomed runs.
