The 77km of slopes in the Zell am See ski area are located on the Schmittenhöhe mountain and cater for all ability levels. Beginners can take the Sonnenalm cable cars and enjoy the many blue runs on top of the mountain. More than 50km of the trails in Zell am See are graded blue or red, and are ideal for more advanced beginners and intermediates. A good run for intermediates is the 6.5km Schutt, which descends the full 1,200m from Schmittenhöhe to the village. There are plenty of long, normally mogulled, blacks down through forest for advanced skiers to enjoy. And Zell am See is known for having good off-piste powder. |
