Hmmm, I skied these for a few days last season and thoroughly enjoyed them. They must have had some impact on me as I kept reaching for them when the snow was choppy. They are powerful and feature a race construction with a full sidewall and titanium reinforcements. Wider than the Speedmachines but with the same racing heart pulsing away they can plough through the toughest snow and still old an edge on ice for one tenth of a second and be a smooth rider when you hit the powder or crud in the next tenth. 84mm underfoot keeps the expert afloat in a virtually any condition and the Hot Rod is great for Europe’‘s varying conditions. Highly recommended but highly tiring and demanding of the skier. Best for experts.
