Narrower but with the 2V race construction this is a powerful and fun ski for the expert or seasoned advanced skier. The Top Fuels have been around for a couple of seasons and are very dynamic, they are not ideal when the snow is too soft or deep as they are stiff and demand a firm base from which you can work the ski. The 78mm waist is versatile though and great for blasting through crud or the odd powder day but not with the greatest subtlety or ease. The look is sporty, the performance hot and they are a great package for regular skier who wants one ski to do it all.

Skied the Top Fuels 2007 on the glacier in Hintertux at the begining of June 06. Had new snow on the 6th and as you can imagine for that time of year, spent days on untract powder. The conditions changed over several days. Better than in March and still cold. But the skis dealt with the lot. Fab in soft, crusty or heavy powder, like rails on groomed. I have been a fan of Head Monsters for the last few seasons and it would have to be an amazing ski to drag me away from them, but I thing I’‘ve found my next pair. Happy skiing
