I live in California, USA. My skill level is advanced/expert, and I ski most conditions on and off piste. I recent demoed the 2005 Scream Pilot 10 Hot at a resort in Lake Tahoe, along with the 2005 K2 Apache Recon. I skied the Apache first, 181s, and those skis will carve a sweet arc on any surface. Point them straight, however, to gain speed, and the tips get loose. They give you the feeling you are going to catch an edge at any moment. When I got on the Screams, 175s, they do not have quite the same crispness in turns that the K2s do, but they are very nice none-the-less. At speed they are stable and secure, and they bomb through most snow conditions. That is a very important thing here. We locals refer to our snow as 'Sierra Cement' since it can be quite wet and heavy. I finished my demo day saying of the Screams 'I have got to get me some of these!'
