Alpe d'Huez has some fantastic skiing and snowboarding and is suitable for all levels. As part of the Grandes Rousses area, from Alpe d'Huez you can access 304 pistes across the 5 resorts. The other resorts in the area are Villard Reculas, Oz-en-Oisans, Auris-en-Oisans and Vaujany.
Alpe d'Huez is known for its excellent sports facilities. Along with gyms there are swimming pools, squash courts, a climbing wall and an ice rink. For less active entertainment the resort organises weekly classical music concerts and there's a museum to visit.
After the lifts close you will be spoilt for choice in Alpe d'Huez. One of the livelier French resorts it has everything you need for your après ski: over 30 restaurants and bars, 4 nightclubs and a variety of events throughout the year, including a comedy film festival in January.
