The Alpe d'Huez resort has 120 ski slopes covering a distance of 240km and a fantastic range of purpose built areas for specialised winter sports, like snow parks, beginner zones and boarder cross tracks. It's a great place to learn to ski or snowboard with lots of beginners' slopes close to the resort and accessible by free lifts. Intermediates will enjoy the 34 blue and 40 red runs in Alpe d'Huez and the resort attracts more advanced skiers and snowboarders with its 16 black runs, which include the longest piste in the world - The Sarenne is 16km long and drops an unbelievable 2,000m. The night-skiing opportunities and off-piste areas are also a great reason to visit Alpe d'Huez. Snowboarders coming to Alpe d'Huez won't be disappointed. As well as all the pistes to explore there are 2 snowparks. For the adventurous snowboarding excursions can be arranged on the glacier and off-piste. |
