As Alpe d'Huez is "The Island in the Sunshine" you can expect to spend your holiday bathed in lovely warm sun. So with the right sun screen you'll be able to go home looking like you've just visited the Caribbean! Sunglasses are a must in this resort - although its sparkling white snow can be beautiful, it can also be painful on the eyes after a day skiing or boarding.
