With its location in the French Pyrenees and its ski area reaching up to 2,300m Ax les Thermes has a great snow record. On average the ski areas receive 200cm of snowfall every year and this allows the resort to fully open to skiers and snowboarders from December until April. During this season should there be any problems with the preservation of the natural snow you needn't worry as Ax les Thermes has over 150 snow cannons with which can coat a vast number of the slopes in the ski areas with perfect artificial snow.
