The slopes accessible from Barèges reach up to 2,500m in altitude and with freeride skiing and snowboarding available up on the Pic du Midi at 2,877m you shouldn't have any worries about finding great snow conditions for your winter sports adventure in this region of the French Pyrenees. Every year, on average, the resorts of Barèges and La Mongie receive 500cm of natural snowfall which is really well preserved by the cold temperatures experienced during the winter season. And if this natural snow needs to be enhanced the resorts have a vast amount of snow cannons with which it can produce excellent artificial snow cover. |
