Within Châtel's ski area there are 11 green, 17 blue, 16 red and 5 black slopes making up the 90km of pisted runs available. The area is divided into two parts, Super Châtel and Linga. Super Châtel is ideal for beginners, and also has links to Torgon, Morgins and Champoussin in Switzerland. Linga has a good mix of intermediate and advanced slopes for skiing and boarding, and from there it's easy to ski or board to Avoriaz. Avoriaz is probably the best known resort in the Portes du Soleil for snowboarding but Châtel has great boarding facilities too. The Smoothpark in Super Châtel is ideal for all levels of freestyler with kickers, rails, slide boxes, boardercross, hips, and more. |
