Courchevel has some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the world, with 150km of slopes for all levels, snowparks and plenty off-piste opportunities. Skiing here is particularly pleasant as it's home to one of the highest tree-lines in the Alps. If you're just starting out you'll appreciate the safe beginners' zones in Courchevel. There are 27 green and 44 blue runs to get you skiing, and for extra help Courchevel has a huge range of ski and snowboard schools and instructors. For skiers and snowboarders who are more advanced, Courchevel has 38 red and 10 black runs. From La Saulire you'll find some of the most challenging runs and experts will enjoy some of Europe's hardest couloirs - "The Ugly Sisters" are graded 'black' but in reality some are off the scale. |
