Flaine's ski area has 140km of pistes, but accessible from Flaine is a massive 265km of pistes - within the Grand Massif area skiers and snowboarders of all levels will be continually challenged and entertained. Within Flaine itself beginners have a specially designed area close to the resort accessible by four free lifts. And for more confident beginners there's a nice 14km long blue run down the outskirts of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval Nature Reserve. Across the entire Grand Massif area intermediates will have their pick of runs and terrains. And it's the same for experts, the possibilities are almost endless. But a must is the Combe de Gers in Flaine, a steep run with wild skiing which drops 800 vertical metres! For freestylers there are three excellent Jamparks across the Grand Massif, one of which is in Flaine's Aujon area. |
