La Clusaz receives an average annual snowfall of between four metres and six metres, and this can be enhanced by the resort’s 103 snow cannons. The orientation of the slopes – Northwest, North and East – helps to preserve the snow, whether natural or artificial, for the duration of the season. La Clusaz also has several excellent runs below the tree-line and this shady environment not only provides protection to the area but also allows for skiing if the weather closes in. Additionally, off-piste skiing reduces wear and tear on the groomed runs. |
