La Plagne Ski Resort Information

The resort of La Plagne, in the Tarentaise area of the Northern Alps, has access to almost endless terrain. Consisting of ten villages La Plagne has everything - from sleepy traditional hamlets to ultra-modern purpose built ski stations.
At the heart of the extensive Paradiski area La Plagne gives access to 425km of ski runs and offers a diverse range of options. Here you can easily switch between snowparks or glacier skiing to flying down heavily wooded trails or gently cruising wide open sweeping slopes. La Plagne also has some more unusual sports, one of which is bobsleighing. On the Olympic bobsleigh run you can experience speeds of up 134 kilometres per hour and G forces of 2-3G as you follow a professional driver in a "taxi bob". For more thrills visitors can go paragliding, quad biking or skidoo riding. If you like to enjoy more relaxed winter sports there are multiple ice rinks in the La Plagne villages along with sledging and snowshoe trails.
The six purpose-built resorts sit between 1,800m and 2,100m and provide ski-in-ski-out accommodation. All are linked by pistes and free shuttle buses, and they are an excellent base from which to explore this stunning area. For a more traditional setting you can choose from the villages situated lower down the mountain. Here you'll find lots of wood-clad buildings in the Savoyard style bursting with character and charm. No matter where your base is in La Plagne you'll never be far from the slopes and with its extensive lift system the entire Paradiski area is within reach.
When the slopes close you won't be stuck for activities. In all the villages of La Plagne you'll find a choice of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. The night owls will find live music and nightclubs to keep them amused, and everyone can enjoy the bowling alleys and cinemas in the resort. As you'd expect from a large resort consisting of 10 villages there is an après ski scene to suit everyone.
