Montgenèvre has the perfect climate for winter sports. Its slopes go up to 2,680m above sea level and have one of the best snow records in the Southern Alps. Temperatures are low at these high altitudes but thankfully Montgenèvre is also one of the sunniest resorts in France, receiving around 300 days of sunshine a year. Although the highest parts of the ski area are above the tree-line and therefore will sometimes suffer from poor weather conditions, there are plenty of lower runs down through wooded areas where you'll always find great visibility and conditions. |
