Oz en Oisans Ski Resort Information

Set in the majestic Oisans mountains at an altitude of 1,350m, Oz-en-Oisans is a charming compact resort where everything is accessible on foot or skis. In the heart of the huge Grandes Rousses ski area, there are 304 pistes to explore across the five resorts of Oz-en-Oisans, Aple d'Huez, Villard Reculas, and Auris-en-Oisans - along with excellent off-piste opportunities across the entire Grandes Rousses massif. The skiing and snowboarding accessible from Oz-en-Oisans is incredibly varied in ability level, so this is the perfect ski resort for mixed-ability groups or family snow sports holidays.
As you'd expect from a winter sports area of this size, the Grandes Rousses has a huge variety of other sports and activities apart from regular skiing and snowboarding. For a start there are 30km of cross-country ski trails, night skiing every week, and loads of snowshoe and hiking tracks with guided tours available. For extra thrills the young and old can go sledding down the slopes, take dog sled or sleigh rides, and even helicopter trips. And the glacier nearby also has ice climbing opportunities. To practice your climbing there's an indoor climbing area in the resort centre, along with a swimming pool with spa and sauna, a cinema, and a skating rink.
Perfect for children and adults alike the centre of Oz-en-Oisans is car-free, so everyone can enjoy the village without thinking about traffic - this also makes Oz-en-Oisans prettier and helps the environment. In town you can walk around the streets and discover the small traditional buildings, made from stone and wood. And there's loads of ski-in-ski-out accommodation for all budgets. In the shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars in town you'll find a warm atmosphere and a lively après ski scene, although it's a small resort and might not the best for the biggest of party nights.
Oz-en-Oisans is a great all-round ski resort, with loads of ski and snowboarding opportunities and a charming village centre. The resort's only a one hour drive from Grenoble, so weekend breaks, short trips, or longer holidays are all really easy!
