Peisey-Nancroix Ski Resort Information
Sitting at 1,400m Nancroix was one of the first villages in the Tarentaise Valley to be recognised as an excellent base for mountain sports. The meadow at Nancroix had one of the first ski lifts in Savoy, and in the sixties Nancroix became known as one of the most beautiful places for Nordic skiing. Now it's part of the Peisey Vallandry ski resort and this rustic village has access to the massive Paradiski area with its 425km of marked ski slopes and almost endless winter sport opportunities.
Above the village there's a great ski area for beginners and intermediates, and the lift up to the Plan Peisey ski area opens up a wealth of snow sports opportunities. The Peisey Vallandry ski resort has one of the smaller ski areas in the valley but it's perfectly placed for access to the other Paradiski resorts - from Vallandry the fast chairlift takes you up to the slopes of Les Arcs, and the Vanoise Express in Plan Peisey gives you access to the whole of La Plagne resort. Covering a huge area the terrain of the Paradiski domain is incredibly varied and there are slopes for everyone - whether you're a complete novice or an off-piste adventurer this area from 1,200m up to 3,250m above sea level won't fail to entertain and challenge. Only seven minutes from Nancroix you have access to this incredibly vast ski area, but directly from your accommodation in the village you'll find the entrance to the Vanoise National Park and the vast cross-country skiing, walking, and hiking opportunities which it holds. Filled with rare wild animals and spectacular scenery this area is perfect for all kinds of winter adventures and the charming village of Nancroix is the ideal base from which to explore it.
After all your snowy adventures you can return to the quiet village of Nancroix and relax in its traditional bars and restaurants - across the Peisey Vallandry resort the après ski is fairly quiet but Nancroix is home to some of the livelier bars.
