The sun almost always shines on the plateau above Samoëns, where you access the vast Domaine du Grand Massif. As you ascend to the 1,600m high plateau you'll pass through any clouds over the village of Samoëns and emerge into the bright sun. Of course, when the snow is falling the sun will hide for a spell but when it comes out again it will shine across huge areas of fresh glistening powder. The winter season in Samoëns starts in December and runs until April, throughout this time you can expect to find perfect conditions for your snow sports holiday.
