The climate in Val Cenis is well suited to all kinds of snow sports. The temperatures are low due to the resort's position in the Haute Maurienne mountains, and the north facing slopes. These low temperatures provide the resort with abundant snowfalls throughout the winter, and help to preserve this snow until the end of the season. During snowfalls or if there's a strong wind, the huge variety of slopes at Val Cenis which are below the tree-line are an ideal escape from poor conditions. So no matter what the weather you can ski or board at Val Cenis between December and April.
