Val d'Isère can be broken up into 3 areas: the most popular is Le Solaise, easily accessible from the town centre with good slopes for beginners and intermediates. The Bellevarde ski area has a wider range of opportunities - there are some nice long, gentle trails for intermediates and some very challenging runs, like the ex-Olympic Face. Le Fournet is Val d'Isère's secret gem; Located at the top end of the town at an altitude up to 3,456m it has good snow and quieter slopes. All 3 areas in Val d'Isère offer excellent off-piste opportunities. And for boarders Val d'Isère has one of the world's biggest snowparks . At 35,000m2 the park has everything a snowboarder could want. |
