Val Thorens spans a vast area so it provides every type of snow you could want, from perfectly prepared pistes to fresh untouched powder fields. And as it's the highest ski resort in Europe you can expect superb snow throughout the season. From late November until the beginning of May the slopes are well covered and to keep the snow in top condition there are 359 snow canons. The off-piste skiing and boarding opportunities at Val Thorens also help to preserve the snow on-piste.
