Vallandry with Snowrental

Part of the Peisey-Vallandry ski resort, Vallandry is a small traditional village at the heart of a huge ski domain. From the village you have access to the Peisey-Vallandry ski area, as well as the slopes in the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne. Together these resorts make the 425km of marked pistes in the Paradiski area. Ranging from 1,200m to 3,250m in altitude these pistes cover a huge variety of terrain and are mixed in level to suit all abilities - there's everything from gentle nursery slopes and long cruising red runs, to safe ungroomed areas and incredibly wild off-piste.
The resort of Peisey-Vallandry is the smallest in the Paradiski area but its villages are the ideal base for exploring the region. From Vallandry the fast quad lift takes you up to the Les Arcs areas. And from the nearby village of Plan-Peisey the Paradiski cable car opens up the La Plagne ski area on the other side of the valley. So if you're looking for a quiet, authentically Savoyard mountain base for your winter sports holiday, the villages of Peisey-Vallandry are perfect.
As you'd imagine in an area as vast as Paradiski, there's lots to do besides downhill skiing and snowboarding. For a start there are two snowparks, five boardercross courses, and two half-pipes for freestyling. Speed freaks can enjoy flying down a bobsleigh track at 110km per hour, or try speed flying, which combines skiing and paragliding. Ice climbing is good for adventurers, as are the heli-skiing possibilities over the border in Italy. And for more gentle winter activities you can discover Peisey-Vallandry's ice cave, go skating on the many ice rinks, or take a relaxing walk in the wilderness following the hiking trails.
After your days out enjoying the snow you can return to the quiet village of Vallandry at the bottom of the slopes, and soak up the relaxing atmosphere in one of the many restaurants or bars. Although a peaceful village the activities in the surrounding areas and the traditional eateries and inns make Vallandry the perfect winter holiday destination.
