Sitting in France's sunny Southern Alps you can enjoy the ideal snow sports climate. The area receives abundant snowfall, around 250cm, along with 300 days of sunshine every year. Although sunshine would normally damage snow, Vars is a high altitude resort with slopes up to 3,000m so the temperature and conditions are perfect for snow preservation. Just in case the natural snowfall needs to be enhanced the resort has excellent artificial snow making machines which cover the slopes from 1,850m up to 2,600m. These machines combined with Vars' piste maintenance team ensure the slopes have perfect surfaces for your winter holiday.
