Arabba Ski Resort Information

Close to the Austrian border, the picturesque village of Arabba sits in the heart of the Dolomites. Between the Sella Massif and Portavescovo mountains Arabba is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The main ski area in Arabba is on the 2,500m high Porta Vescovo mountain, with 62km of slopes this area is perfect for all levels of skier and snowboarder. One great advantage of Arabba is that it's on the famous Sellaronda circuit, and in the heart of the Dolomiti Superski area. The Sellaronda lets you tour across four valleys without taking your skis off, and the giant Dolomiti Superski area has an immense 1,220km of slopes which include some of the most stunning skiing and scenery in Italy. It's also possible to take the Marmolada tour from Arabba, where you can explore this "Queen of the Dolomites" - the highest peak in the mountain range. Skiers and snowboarders who want a change of pace can take the 1st Great War tour, which takes you round various World War One sites while the guide tells you about the all remaining relics and structures which the Austrian and Italian forces constructed during the war.
To explore closer to Arabba you can follow one of the snowshoe trails, or test out your driving skills on a motor sledge - if you can master this machine you can take it on night driving excursions through the snowy countryside. For fun everyone can enjoy there's the ice rink in the resort, and numerous toboggan runs.
Back in the resort you can relax in one of the beauty and wellness centres, or simply chill out on one of the sunny terraces. The village has a great choice of accommodation and it's all situated close to the slopes. Arabba has lots of traditional mountain huts where you can enjoy great food, especially the traditional Ladin dishes. The après ski in the resort is quiet, there are a few bars but you won't find lively clubs. It's the perfect village to relax in and enjoy the spectacular Dolomites from.
