From autumn the snow begins to build across the three valleys of the Monterosa ski area, and by December the conditions are perfect for all kinds of winter sports. Receiving abundant amounts of snow, the resort of Champoluc is ideally placed to enjoy the best of the Monterosa conditions. The high altitude slopes ensure fantastic natural snow, and the lower runs are covered by artificial snow making machines, so the entire area is snow-sure for the season. And the attractive woodland of the lower runs can provide great sheltered areas to ski or board down during spells of poor weather.
