Courmayeur with Snowrental

Sitting at the foot of Mont Blanc, Courmayeur is the oldest ski resort in Italy. The traditional village centre has cobbled streets and charming Italian buildings, and it successfully combines great ski facilities and fantastic access to the surrounding mountains, with top quality shopping and cuisine.
From Courmayeur there are 100km of slopes to explore and some spectacular off-piste in the highest parts of the resort, also where the best views of Mont Blanc are found. Novices and beginners can benefit from tuition by one of the most prestigious ski schools in Italy, the Mont Blanc Ski School. And the resort has plenty of wide gentle runs where newbies can learn the basics. Courmayeur is a snow paradise for intermediate skiers and boarders, who can choose from a vast variety of slopes. And along with the off-piste opportunities, advanced riders will enjoy the lift network of Mont Blanc and its links to Chamonix.
You can of course explore the mountains and surrounding area by methods other than skiing and snowboarding. Dog sledding is a popular option, as are snowshoe tours, and snow biking - which gives you the chance to combine mountain biking with the fun and excitement of a snow-filled environment. To experience the resort from above you can take helicopter trips or try parascending. And tours can be organised to Aosta, a nearby market town, or to the other great ski resort of Chamonix.
Back in Courmayeur you'll find shopping is a major activity, and this is no surprise when you see the number and range of shops in the village. If shopping's not for you, then you can try the gym, ice rink, cinema, indoor golf, or squash and tennis courts. The choice of sports and activities in this magical old village and resort are almost endless. And after dark there's even more to do with loads of good restaurants, and the great bars on the village's main street bring après ski heaven to Courmayeur.
