Snow Gressoney

Across the Monterosa ski area the average snowfall is around 600cm every year. This huge amount of natural snow allows the resorts in the valleys to open for snow sports from around the end of November until the end of April and ensures great cover on the slopes throughout this time. And just in case the natural snow is poor in some areas the region can produce about 780,000m3 of artificial snow, this means that just over 95% of the slopes in Monterosa can be covered in snow automatically by the computer programmed system.
