In Livigno you'll find 115km of marked slopes for skiers and boarders of all abilities. Beginners will enjoy the easy snow covered sunny meadows around the villages which remain snow-sure thanks to the resorts altitude. The higher terrain is mainly intermediate level but there are some smooth wide slopes that beginners can normally tackle after their first week. The biggest ski area in Livigno will delight intermediates, the Carosello 3000 ski area has a huge number of excellent red pistes. The toughest slopes are on the Mottolino side of the valley, where black pistes start at 2,785m and descend back to the tree-line. Between 1,900m and 2,250m the Trepalle area has fantastic off-piste for skiers, boarders, ski tourers, and telemarkers. |
