Snow Sestriere

Thanks to Sestriere high altitude position it receives vast amounts of snow every year, on average around 500cm. The high altitude also keeps temperatures low, and the northwest facing slopes don't suffer too much from over-exposure to the sun. Overall Sestriere is one of the most snowsure resorts in the area. On top of Sestriere's amazing natural snowfall, the Via Lattea is equipped with one of the most extensive artificial snow making systems - the ski area has 146 pistes, and 120 of them can be covered in artificial, which ensures you have a snow-filled winter holiday.
