Fast café racers that can be used and abused the entire day and are vastly more entertaining than a pure race ski for holiday-makers. If you like to blast through the gates now and again or just desire a rapid pair of boards to cruise the groomers then the redesigned R9X is highly addictive. They are very good in the hands of experts or an advanced skier who wants to push their speed and technical boundaries. The only downside I found was that if you are an accomplished expert and used to pressuring the front of the ski as you would with a factory race model then the rubber transmitters at the front of the plate flex very easily and don’‘t provide an immediate or pure transmission of your efforts.
