I recently got to ski at Alta, Utah. They currently have a base of 200+ inches! I asked to rent a good powder ski and they gave me the K2 Apache Chiefs. I am a "Lewis & Clark" kind of skier. If you ski trees you will be enthralled with these. These skis are the best I have ever used. Lots of good float in the deep stuff, extremely stable in the crud and choppy areas. A lively ski and very decent on the groomed trails.
