Narrower, nimbler and better in the bumps, also traditional skiers with a narrower technique love them, I much preferred the stability of the B2 and the floatation, but these remain popular and are a good choice for all levels wanting a ski with not too much shape that can both skid and carve. Also try the Dynastar Legend 6800 or the Nordica SUV 10.

I had the chance to try the Rossignol Bandit B1 last weekend on Mt Buller, Victoria (Australia). The snow was hard packed and icy in places. It was the first time I skied with a pair of the 'new' shapes after many years on straight skis. I was very impressed with the way the skis held the turns, carving through the hard snow. They were also very light and comfortable to ski with. The best thing of all is that they are an all round ski if you like versatility with 80% on piste and 20% free. I will definitely also try the Bandit B2!
